What modules will I study?

The Certificate in Psychology consists of two 5 credit modules:

Module 1: Psychology, identities and the person

This will help you learn about the main branches of psychology including; psychodynamic, behavioural, cognitive, humanistic and positive. We will explore how each of these different branches of psychology views a person/identity. This programme will give you an opportunity to learn about the complex and multifaceted influences on human thinking and behaviour.

Module 2: Psychology: interactions, families and social issues

As human beings we are born into and live our lives in a group(s). Who you are as a person is embedded in the social world where much of the time we are influencing others and they in turn are also influencing us. In this module, you will explore how psychology can help us understand some of the really important ‘group’ experiences of our lives such as; relationships, family and working in groups. It will help you understand how the presence of other people impacts profoundly on human behaviour.

What Our Students Have to Say

TUS Flexible Learning offers access to a network of the greatest bunch of students ever, along with alumni, faculty, and business leaders both local and international. Working in a virtual world has not limited the access to any of these support networks and likely the main reason I have been able to get through the course while balancing work and family commitments. If you are considering taking that next step forward in your career, I would highly recommend the Master of Science program in TUS Flexible Online

The funded places make it really affordable and the lecturers really work with you so you get the best from the course.
