Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management
The Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management has been designed to offer participants the opportunity to gain a detailed knowledge of the underpinning theory and effective practice of Financial Management which will be of particular benefit in a range of management and leadership roles as well as in specialized Financial Management roles.
This programme delivers business knowledge and skills which form the basis for a career in industry, commerce or the public service. You will gain an understanding of the functional areas of business and of the factors which influence business success. On graduation, you should be able to use your knowledge and skills to solve technical and human problems in a business/commercial context. You will also learn how effective interpersonal relations at work contribute to the public image of an organisation and to its progress.

Candidates should hold a recognised level 8 honours degree in a non financial discipline.
Graduates are eligible to apply for year two of the Masters of Arts in Financial Management also delivered by the Department of Lifelong Learning in an online/blended format. Graduates of this progreamme often choose to specalise in industries such as Banking, Insurance, Investments, Real-estate, Healthccare and Law. Others choose Financial Management careers in non-profit organisations or Government agencies.
