Certificate in Supervisory Management Skills for Team Leaders now available fully funded through TUS Learning Gates Learning in the Hubs Initiative

The faculty of Continuing, Professional Online and Distance Learning in collaboration with Connected Hubs are delighted to offer Students a fully funded programme as part of the nationwide Learning in the Hubs programme, an emerging network of over 50 coworking hubs offering education and training programmes in urban and rural locations throughout Ireland.

As part of this offering, Students can now take the Certificate in Supervisory Management Skills for Team Leaders in their local Learning Gate (a full list of which can be accessed here). This ground-breaking initiative aims to increase accessibility to education by allowing students to earn locally and on a part-time basis. This exciting opportunity will allow students to both acquire a TUS Special Purpose Certificate while also opening pathways to both Part-Time and Full-Time programmes through our progression routes.

Programme title: Certificate in Supervisory Management Skills for Team Leaders.

Programme objective:

The objective of the programme is to enable participants to understand the differences between management and leadership, including styles and characteristics of successful managers/leaders. This programme will enable the student to acquire an understanding of the importance of effective human resource management to effective supervisory management in an organisation. It will also identify the interpersonal skills which contribute to the supervisory manager’s efficiency and effectiveness in the work environment. It will facilitate the student to apply theory and knowledge to real situations.

Funded by: Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning is funding this programme exclusively for hubs.

Programme delivery: Tuesdays from 10am to 12.30pm, commencing on Tuesday, 3 October.

Location: Online in our hub

Duration: Ten weeks

Closing date for enrolment: Monday, 25 September.

NFQ Level: Level 6 (20 credits)

Progression: Successful Candidates can also continue their studies by advancing to a number of Level 6 Special Purpose Awards, gaining exemptions on the modules taken.
