Higher Diploma in Accounting
The primary aim of the Higher Diploma in Arts in Accounting is to facilitate graduates from non-accounting programs who wish to pursue a career in accounting. The aim of this one-year program is to give business, arts, science and other graduates, exemptions from the professional accountancy and taxation examinations. Upon successful completion of the course, you would be exempt from the following ACCA exams:
Business and Technology (BT)
Financial Accounting (FA)
Management Accounting (MA)
Corporate and Business Law (LW)
Audit and Assurance (AA)
Performance Management (PM)
Taxation (TX)

This programme will be run on a part-time online basis over one academic year.
January 2023 to December 2023. (2 Semesters – 12 weeks per semester)

Lectures/workshops will be recorded and available to watch on Mondays.
Live tutorials will take place on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings at 7-8.30 pm (Semester 1). Tutorials will also be recorded and available to watch back.

An honours degree (Level 8) in a non-finance and accounting or a non-cognate discipline or approved equivalent qualification.

A Level 7 qualification in a non-finance and accounting or a non-cognate discipline and at least 1 year relevant professional experience/responsibility.
Special Case Registrations: Prospective participants who do not meet the entry requirements for the programme detailed above, but who may qualify for admission by meeting certain other equivalent criteria, including workplace experience, should apply for consideration under RPL (Recognised Prior Learning).
ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements. For entry to undergraduate courses, a minimum score of 5.5 in an IELTS exam is required. For postgraduate courses, a minimum of 6.0 is required. It is the responsibility of the applicants to ensure their English proficiency meets these requirements.
